Quickbird 2 -November 10, 2001
The QuickBird 2 satellite was launched October 18, 2001 from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The unit is in the correct orbit and is expected to be fully operational. Quickbird 2 will provide high-resolution black and white pictures showing objects down to 2-feet across (61-centimeters). QuickBird 2 is equipped to provide color imagery that can reveal objects 8-feet (2.44-meter) in size.
